Most of us are really happy that the elections are over, even if your favorite won. I think it’s safe to say we can all start concentrating on the issues at hand and go from there.
Harris was gracious in accepting defeat, and voiced her support to the new administration, and that is a tension-reducer after the las four years of conflict.
To be truthful, I am hoping Trump really can improve the economy. Logic tells me that a continuation of the current administration would not have made any difference in that department, but I am not a politician, and don’t want to be. I just want the stress to be gone. Even watching from another continent did not help, and in my small social and family circle there was no agreement.
This has been crazy, and I just want something good to come out of it.
Another important issue for me is the border problem. On this issue, I agree with Trump. The wall should be built, and fortified. We should be tough on who we allow citizenship to. This is for our own self-interest, it’s true, but being picky is not a bad thing.
